When first direct came No.1 in an official ranking of all UK banks, they wanted everyone to know about it without sounding like another serious, “banky” bank. 

 

Solution? the humble bank. 

 

The bank with a tongue-in-cheek, more ‘human’ voice. The bank that shouted as loud as it could about just how much it didn’t want to draw attention to itself.
